Dr. Ellisor began practicing in the Humble/Kingwood area in 1985. He specializes in family optometry care, contact lenses, LASIK co-management, and management/treatment of eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, myopia management, cataracts, etc. He is therapeutically certified and is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.

Dr. Ellisor is the founder of Vision Source and has served as its President/CEO and Chairman of the Board since its inception on May 1, 1991, until 2016, and continues today as a board member and consultant for the organization. Dr. Ellisor has served on numerous advisory panels for eyecare industry organizations and has received several awards and honors for the work he has done in the profession. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Harris County Optometric Association.

Dr. Ellisor attended Stephen F. Austin University from 1976-79 where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1984.
